ACUTE EXPOSURE INFORMATION

  1. Acute ingestion of tannic acid may result in nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and hepatic necrosis if large amounts are absorbed. The minimal toxic or lethal dose is not well established in the literature. Severity of intoxication should be based on clinical findings.
